The Problem

Many times, customers reach out to know more about Excel workbooks. Presently, SharePoint online offers a script editor or content editor to make users display Excel workbooks in an iframe. It is quite possible to write a jquery code within the script web part and dynamically set the excel workbook to iframe’s src. This comes with an issue that continuously displays the O365 Global Suite Navigation bar of the Excel web app. There was no way to hide that with the help of CSS or jquery while loading Excel web parts dynamically until the following solution came up.

The Solution

The solutions use Excel Web Access Web part and list view web part. These two web parts are connected So the list view web part sends the URL to view into the Excel Web Access Web part with a filter via the JSLink. The steps to follow are as follows:

1. Create a Document Library and a View named MyExcelFileView. Add various fields including “Created By”
2. Create a web part page (You can also use any existing Wiki page), edit it, and add 2 web parts.
3. Upload javascript files to the SiteAssets library.
4. Edit List view web part. Under Miscellaneous option, set JSLink;
5. Set desired Appearance layouts and select what to display. The field “Created by” must be a part of the view
6. All the workbooks of the logged-in user will be filtered.
7. While the page is in Edit mode, you need to add Excel Web Access web part from Business Data
   1. Goto Connections> Get Workbook Url from -> A popup will load. Select Field Name “Document URL” and save the excel web part.
   2. Uncheck the box “Title Bar”
   3. Save Web part, page and publish

You can now see excel is already loaded in the excel web part.

Open the EAC and go to Office 365 > Recipients > Migration. Then Click the Add+ button and select the option “Migrate from Exchange Online”. From the Select Users Page and Add+. Now you can add the users from Exchange Online users that you wish to migrate to the on-premises setup within the organization. Click OK and Next.

Next, on the Confirm Migration End-point, make sure you verify the FQDN of on-premises Exchange server. Next, you’ll have to create a new name for the migration batch and add a target database.

What are the new features of Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams has recently announced rolling out new features for better collaboration. Teams are committed to reimagine virtual collaboration for the future of work and learning. Teams feature like meeting controls, larger gallery, Meeting notes, together mode, and many others are being rolled out.

But first, you’ll have to turn it on

In your Microsoft Teams desktop app, select a profile pic. Then Go to Settings > General.

• Meeting Notes

Now you can easily take meeting notes right from within Microsoft Teams. You can either take notes from a meeting notes tab or open a side panel that opens alongside the meeting screen.

Microsoft has proposed the agreement based on a few valid reasons like simplifying the contracting procedure, clarifying and distinguishing roles and responsibilities in reference to regulatory requirements and to ensure there’s transparency for Microsoft and Microsoft partner network.

The new Agreement

In the latest Microsoft partner agreement, Microsoft replaces all previous Microsoft Agreements for Indirect Resellers and Indirect provider like the Microsoft Cloud Distributor Agreement (MCDA), the Microsoft Cloud Reseller Agreement Multi-Tier Amendment, Microsoft Cloud Reseller Agreement (MCRA), and the Microsoft Cloud Reseller Agreement for US Government Cloud. It also replaces Terms and Conditions Agreement.

The Microsoft partner agreement has a multiple business Microsoft CSP benefits to Partners like:

• Improved transparency that leads to Protection of long-term growth and a smooth business sail for Microsoft partner network.
• Easier adherence to solid business practices and privacy regulations
• Better understanding of roles and responsibilities for a continuous service delivery

What Partners need to do?

For organizations already under a CSP Program who are direct bill, indirect providers or indirect resellers, they need to sign up the latest MPA before the deadline approaches. The newer MPA addresses legal concerns in a better manner. Accepting the new Microsoft partner agreement allows for smooth transactions through Partner Center API or User Interface (aka Partner Center Dashboard). Failure to accept the MPA will lead to your organization not being able to add new subscriptions or add seats to existing subscriptions under the CSP Program and the Microsoft partner network. However, the organization will still be able to administer existing subscribers and users. The final deadline to accept the MPA and stay within the CSP Program is Aug. 31, 2020.
